Being Employed by God: Trusting the Process, Obedience, and Growth Through Faith

Being employed by God this past month hasn’t been easy—but it has been worth it.
This season has stretched me in ways I didn’t fully anticipate. I’ve found myself uncomfortable, challenged, and consistently pushed beyond what feels familiar. Yet, I’m learning that this is exactly where spiritual growth happens.
“But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” — Job 23:10 (NKJV
Discomfort isn’t a sign that God is absent—it’s often confirmation that He’s refining us.
Growth Happens in the Stretch
I’ve been stretched.
I’ve been uncomfortable.
And I’m realizing that growth doesn’t live in comfort—it lives in obedience.
Being employed by God means allowing Him to expand your capacity, even when it feels overwhelming. The stretching is part of the preparation. The unease is part of the elevation.
“Enlarge the place of your tent… do not hold back.” — Isaiah 54:2 (NIV)
God doesn’t stretch us to break us—He stretches us to build us.
Trusting God Requires Active Obedience
This season has taught me that trusting God isn’t passive. It’s active obedience. It’s daily surrender. It’s choosing faith even when the journey feels uncertain.
Trusting God means walking forward without full clarity, believing that He orders our steps even when we can’t see the full path.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)
Obedience often precedes understanding. Faith comes before comfort.
Why Transparency in the Faith Journey Matters
I choose transparency because someone needs to know this: the process isn’t always polished—but it is purposeful.
Social media often shows the highlight reel, but obedience happens behind the scenes. There are questions, moments of doubt, and days where faith has to be chosen intentionally.
“We walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
Your journey with God doesn’t have to look perfect to be powerful.
